Paul Maillet, Member of the CARPS Advisory Council

Paul Maillet is a Canadian peacebuilding and ethics practitioner and a retired Colonel of the Canadian Armed Forces. During his 33-year military career, he served as an aerospace engineering officer and later as the first Director of Defence Ethics at Canada’s Department of National Defence, contributing to the development and implementation of the Defence Ethics Program.

Since retiring in 2001, he has worked in Canada and internationally on peacebuilding, ethical governance, organizational integrity, and anti-corruption. He leads the Paul Maillet Center for Peacebuilding and is an Accredited Peace Professional with Civilian Peace Service Canada. His interests include peace education, conflict transformation, and infrastructures for peace.

His experience brings a practical perspective to CARPS’s work on peacebuilding and dialogue. As a member of the Advisory Council, he will provide advice on ethical governance and constructive approaches to peace.
